Coronavirus Regulations: Walkers Only at Richardson Park in Bentleyville

Coronavirus regulations are hitting closer to home.

We recently had some nice weather here in southwestern Pennsylvania and a lot of people headed outside to enjoy a little bit of sunshine. Unfortunately, this was such a popular idea that our area parks were crowded, making it very difficult to comply with social-distancing recommendations / orders.

Bentleyville Borough officials announced Friday that for safety reasons, Richardson Park would be closed to everyone but walkers.

Our family is very happy that walkers are still permitted at the park, because we walk our dogs Bernie and Buddy there every morning. I won't point any fingers, but someone might get a little grumpy (and constipated) if he is banned from the park. For his sake, and others, we are hoping people will avoid the urge to gather in groups on the walking path, thus preventing the closure of the park.
