Welcome to Thompson-Marodi1862

For several months now, we have been trying to get a blog up and running and last week we were pleased to add our first post to Thompson-Marodi1862.

The purpose of the blog is to keep everyone informed of the services available to them through our funeral home, as well as benefits available through the county, state, and federal governments. The blog will also be a way to provide stories about funeral trends, articles of local interest, and information about community events and notices.
For years we have posted obituaries on our website www.thompson-marodi.com and this year we started posting them on our Facebook page as well. These Facebook posts are linked to our funeral home website, which makes it easy for family and friends to share obituaries on social media. We have noticed that in a short period of time, some Facebook posts have reached hundreds of users.

Blogging is just another aspect of the Thompson-Marodi Funeral Home’s on-line presence. We have found social media to be a convenient way to communicate, so we are increasing our use of this medium. We think our new blog will be a great way to keep in touch with everyone in our community.

As the blog grows, it will make it easier for our customers to find information about funeral pre-planning and other services. The blog posts will also be linked to our Facebook page, where you can ask questions and share your thoughts and opinions.

We will be adding a post soon about pre-planning. If you need information about this service for you or someone in your family before then, please contact us at 724-239-2255.  You can also start the process by visiting our website.  Here you can enter information that is needed for the funeral records, necessary documents, and the obituary. You can also look at the caskets and outer burial containers we offer and review the charges for many service options.

As always, we are thinking of ways to help grieving families and we hope this blog will be educational and informative. We plan to add a post every Sunday.
